Hello! My name is Cody Faulk. I live in the United States where I write for, design, and play games. To me, games are amazing tools we can use to tell stories, and I believe storytelling is an absolutely essential part of the human experience. Without stories, we have no fantasy, no culture, and no hope. By telling stories, we convey experiences, thoughts, feelings, desires, fears, and a multitude of other powerful, critical aspects of ourselves. In sharing those personal facets, we can learn about others and our own selves, and perhaps even ultimately drive the world toward a better state through communication and shared experience. Maybe that's aiming high, but we've got to start somewhere, right?** **I'm the co-designer of Tell Me a Story, the storytelling card game, but most of my attention lately goes toward writing, design, and editing supplements (with a bit of art and layout, too) for tabletop role-playing games such as 5th edition D&D, Orbital Blues, Troika!, Wretched & Alone, Mörk Borg, One More Quest, and a variety of other game systems.I am especially proud of my writing and design work for Cubicle 7's Soulbound and Wrath & Glory RPGs, which are based on Games Workshop's Warhammer Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000 IPs.Most notably, I'm also one of the lead designers of Cubicle 7's tragic fantasy game Broken Weave and their newest Warhammer 40,000 game Imperium Maledictum.** **I specialize in combining evocative prose with mechanically-sound rules to craft player options that are fun, interesting, and balanced. I also love to design specialized systems and rules to help games showcase their themes and instill real emotion through gameplay.** **You can find my work at Cubicle 7, Dungeon Masters Guild, DriveThruRPG, Loot the Room, SoulMuppet Publishing, P.B. Publishing, Ghostfire Gaming, Horrible Guild, Ex Stasis Games, and itch.io.** **Above all, I hope you find joy in the things I make, and I sincerely – really and truly – hope my creations help you tell stories of your own wherever you are.Good luck out there!
